Your Best Birth focuses on making your birth as wonderful as it can be no matter what the circumstances are that will affect your birth. From c-sections to natural non-medicated birth, from hospitals to home birth, and everything in between.
I recommend that everyone of my clients read this book.
Rikki and Abby had done their homework when it came to this book. Interviewing obstetrician, family doctors, and midwives. The book is sectioned very well to allow for an easy read, and a great reference book.
The books preface touches on Rikki and Abby’s births, they describe their births and the reason they decided to write this book.
In the introduction Rikki and Abby make it very clear that the book is not intended to be bias toward any specific direction, and that it is meant to be a resource to help and guide you towards “your best birth”
This book discusses everything; natural birth, c-sections, and VBAC. When deciding about what pain intervention you would like, I found the book to be somewhat neutral, although like most natural based books it is slightly bias towards going intervention free, also seen in the movie the business of being born, they discuss the domino effect of pain medication.
When it comes to your first, or last baby this book will find a way to help you out.
